At the AstroWorld music festival held in the US state of Texas in the past weeks, where thousands of people flocked, 10 people lost their lives and hundreds were injured in the stampede during the concert of world-famous rapper Travis Scott. Travis Scott became the focus of reactions and accusations on the grounds that he continued the concert without caring during the events, and the festival, which was organized for entertainment, turned into a tragedy due to the deaths.
The effects of events did not end. Families of people who lost their lives in the AstroWorld disaster and those injured came together and filed a $750 million compensation lawsuit against famous rap artists Drake and Travis Scott, organizer Live Nation, and most interestingly, Apple.
Apple’s fault: Broadcasting the concert
The indictment, prepared by Buzbee Law Firm, states that “that night’s victims went to Astroworld to have fun, neither they nor their families were warned that they were entering an extremely risky environment, and that 21-year-old Axel Acosta, one of the victims, was killed by an agitated, rebellious and out-of-control crowd. It is said that he was crushed and died as a result of a heart attack.
But the most interesting among the plaintiffs is Apple. The plaintiffs think that Apple is also guilty because of Apple Music, which broadcasts the concerts at the festival live. People who were aware of the issue, on the other hand, reacted by stating that they understood the lawsuit against others, but did not understand how Apple was involved in the issue.
