Annoying calls on WhatsApp are coming to an end: Here’s the new feature

In addition to messages from an unknown number on WhatsApp, calls are also frequently encountered. The popular messaging app now includes a new feature that will automatically mute unwanted calls. The new privacy control option will be available in the settings.

WhatsApp will mute calls from unknown number

To automatically mute calls from people you don’t know on WhatsApp, go to Settings – Privacy – Calls and turn on the “Mute unknown calls” option. WhatsApp will automatically silence an incoming call from an unregistered number, but will send a notification of the incoming call and show it in the call list.

WhatsApp has also added new control options to its privacy section. You will go through different privacy checks such as who will contact you on WhatsApp, your personal information, account protection, two-step authentication.
