The newest series of Google Pixel, Pixel 8, which is one of the phones where the Android operating system can be experienced in the best way, comes quite ambitious. The screen features of the phone, which we expect many innovations in terms of both design and hardware, have been leaked.

A Twitter user named EqualLeaks shared everything about the screens of Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro without giving any source. But he is considered a reliable leaker. According to his information, Google will make some changes to the screen in the Pixel 8 series compared to its predecessor.

Pixel 8 gets smaller, Pixel 8 Pro stays the same size but loses curve

Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro had OLED displays in 6.3-inch and 6.7-inch sizes, respectively. The Pixel 7’s screen was flat, while the Pixel 7 Pro’s screen was curved. This gave users a choice. However, the situation will be a little different with the Pixel 8 series. Google will reduce the screen size on the Pixel 8 to 6.17 inches. Thus, it will offer a more compact phone.

The Pixel 8 Pro, on the other hand, will keep the same screen size but give up the curved screen. This is good news for flat screen lovers. Also, Google will make the corners of the screen more rounded on both models. So the screens will be less square and more oval.

In terms of resolution, Pixel 8 Pro is getting smaller.

The resolution of Pixel 8 is the same as Pixel 7, while the resolution of Pixel 8 Pro is slightly less than that of Pixel 7 Pro. The screen resolution of Pixel 8 Pro was 2992×1334 pixels, while that of Pixel 7 Pro was 3120×1440 pixels. However, in daily use by the user, this resolution difference will probably not even be noticed.

Both phones will have OLED screens, but this time the screen manufacturer has been changed.

Google has always used OLED displays for Pixel devices, the same is the case with the Pixel 8 series, but the company has changed the supplier of the display panel. Using only Samsung screens in the last few generations, Google uses BOE screens on Pixel 8.

The displays of the Pixel 8 series will be improved not only in size and design, but also in brightness, refresh rate (both phones have a 120Hz refresh rate) and color accuracy. Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are expected to be introduced in October.
