Such a system has been established that we have stated that there is all kinds of information on the aforementioned website, including the family tree. Allegedly, the data of 101 million people is on this website.
While the discussions on the subject were continuing, Salih Talay, Head of the Cyber Security Department of the Presidency Digital Transformation Office, made a statement on the subject. Salih Talay said that the data in question cannot be stolen over e-Government. On the other hand; According to the authorized name, the websites claiming to sell the data of the citizen were established for the purpose of fraud.
The explanation on the subject is as follows:
“In the e-Government system, no data about users other than profile information and user accounts is kept. Therefore, it is not technically possible for this data (allegedly leaked) to have been stolen from the e-Government Gateway. The websites where the data are put up for sale are for phishing purposes. “Registering on sites and sharing information poses a great risk for our citizens. The data we transfer to the digital world is not lost. Data obtained by attackers in the past from different sources, mainly by phishing attack technique, are circulated over and over again in different periods.”
Finally; Salih Talay stated that the number of e-Government users is 63 million, and we can understand from here that the allegations in question are unfounded.
