WhatsApp will support screen sharing on Windows

WhatsApp for Windows 2.2322.1.0 beta version brings screen sharing feature to video calls. This feature, which was previously tested on Android, will finally be available on Windows. With this feature, you will be able to open your desktop screen to other speakers in video chats.

Beta users will now see a screen sharing option in their video call controls. In this area, you will be able to share either a specific window or the entire desktop to the participants in the video call. Users on mobile devices during the call will also be able to see screen sharing.

Users will have very detailed settings for screen sharing and will be able to turn off their screen at any time with the “Stop Screen Sharing” button. This feature is currently available in the WhatsApp 2.2322.1.0 beta application for Windows, which is available in the Microsoft Store.

In addition, the messaging application continues to receive remarkable innovations. With the WhatsApp channels feature, users will access the content shared by the channels they follow in a separate tab called Updates.

Stating that privacy will be at the forefront, the company underlined that users’ personal information will not be shared with anyone in the Channels feature. Expressing that channel managers cannot see personal information, the company stated that they will only keep the history of the channels on their servers for 30 days.
