Samsung uses Qualcomm processors in most 64 models

Another detail that draws attention in the shared report: Samsung has chosen the processor. It has been revealed that the South Korean company, which produces its own processors under the Exynos brand, will prefer the Qualcomm production Snapdragon series in 31 of the 64 devices that it will launch in 2022. In the remaining 20 models, it is reported that it will prefer Exynos processors.

Samsung won’t quit MediaTek

Samsung rarely uses chips from Taiwanese rival MediaTek. For example; Galaxy M32 with Full HD + resolution Super AMOLED display is equipped with an 8-core 12nm MediaTek Helio G80 processor. It has been confirmed by The Elec’s report that the company is not considering giving up on MediaTek. It has been shared that Samsung will use MediaTek processors in 14 devices in 2022.

Preferring Unisoc processors produced by Chinese semiconductor manufacturer UNISOC (formerly Spreadtrum Communications Inc), Samsung recently included the 28nm Unisoc SC9863A chipset in the Galaxy A03 Core model. According to The Elec’s report, the company plans to use Unisoc for 3 more devices it will produce in 2022.
