Spotify already allows you to download songs, albums and playlists for offline listening, but you have to manually select each one, so it’s pretty hard to forget or find your favorite music. Spotify CEO Daniel Ek said on Twitter that the company is testing a feature called “Your Offline Mix,” which will “record a mix of your last played songs for when your excitement is high but your connection is low.”

New Spotify feature

This feature is similar to the Offline Mixtape feature that YouTube introduced in 2019. With the ‘offline mix’ feature, Spotify will select some of your favorite songs and make them available everywhere. As can be seen from the screenshot posted by the supplement, these playlists will be able to store music with several hours of listening time. This feature can be very useful when you forget to download music on a plane trip.

On the other hand, tweets from some users say that this feature has already appeared in their applications. Also, one user states that the new feature does not download 90 percent of the songs in their playlists, which is understandable for a feature that is in testing. Additionally, it is unclear in which regions Spotify is making the offline mix available. Finally, it is not clear when the ‘offline mix’ feature, which is in the testing phase, will be available, but it seems that the process will not take long.
