As part of the Summer Game Fest event held today, Ubisoft announced Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, the new game of Prince of Persia, one of the most popular productions of a period. Inspired by the Metroidvania structure, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will bear the signature of Ubisoft Montpellier, known for productions such as Rayman Legends and Valiant Hearts. Ubisoft also announced that The Lost Crown’s sounds will be composed by Iranian composer Mentrix. Another name to be involved in the production will be Gareth Coker, who is known for his work on plays such as Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown follows Sargon, a young, talented warrior and member of an elite group called The Immortals. As our character is sent to rescue Prince Ghassan, he will explore the once wonderful, now cursed and hostile Mount Kaf. In this journey, new time forces, puzzles, exciting side quests and challenging battles will await players.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will release on January 18, 2024 for PC (Ubisoft Store and Epic Games Store), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Amazon Luna.
