First information came from MediaTek Dimensity 8300
According to the latest reports, Dimensity 8300 will be powered by one Cortex X3 core running at 2.8GHz, as well as 3x Cortex A714 cores running at 2.4GHz and 4x Cortex A510 cores running at 1.6GHz. In other words, we can say that it will have a 1+3+4 core structure. On the GPU side, the processor will be accompanied by an ARM Mali G52 MC6 GPU running at 850 MHz.
With this information in mind, we can expect the upcoming processor to offer performance close to the previous flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. But things can get tricky on the GPU side. For those who don’t know, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 has managed to capture almost flagship performance at the midrange.
The MediaTek Dimensity 8300 is said to launch later this year. It will probably be positioned just below the flagship Dimensity 9300. For now, phones that will receive support from the new chipset have not been announced. However, we can say that the competition in the Android market will gain momentum.
