May 2023 data of the Steam Hardware Survey, which is shared monthly by Steam, has been shared. According to the graphics card ranking, the most popular graphics card for Steam users was the GTX 1650 (6.07 percent), with a slight decrease in May. Second on the list is the GTX 1060 (4.94 percent), which was released in 2016. RTX 3060, which climbed to third place as of May, increased its share by 0.24 percent to 4.9 percent.
As for the new generation graphics cards, one of the biggest increases in May was experienced in the RTX 4070 model. While the usage share of the card increased by 0.21%, AMD Radeon RX 6000 series cards kept their place with minor decreases. It should be noted that RDNA 3 based AMD RX 7000 cards are not included in the list yet.
Coming to the CPU section, the momentum here has been back to Intel for a long time. In May, Intel’s share rose 0.38 percent to 67.52 percent. The company’s closest competitor, AMD, fell to 32.46 percent with the same loss.
Finally, the rise of Windows 11 continues in the operating system ranking. Microsoft’s new operating system now accounts for 40 of Steam users. Windows 10, on the other hand, finished May with a loss of 0.70 percent, with a share of 60.51 percent. Also, the new survey shows that 1080p is by far the most commonly used resolution. 2K, on the other hand, showed an increase of 0.39 percent.
