iOS 17 will turn devices into “smart screens” when not using iPhones. According to the information shared by Mark Gurman before, when you lock iPhones in horizontal position, your device will gain completely different functions.
For example, when the phone is placed in a horizontal position, it will display information such as calendar events, notifications, weather information. iPhones will be able to turn into bedside screens. Of course, new toolkits specific to this will also be offered by many applications.
What’s new on the lock screen:
Other innovations that will come to the lock screen include the ability to adjust the font size and live activities. Operations such as live activities and directions on maps can be followed on the screen even when the device is locked.
Big changes are coming to Control Center:

A brand new “diary” app:

Health app innovations:

App Store requirement disappearing (?):
With the decision of the European Union, Apple has to eliminate the imposition of downloading applications only from the App Store by 2024. It is expected to make a start in this regard with iOS 17 and allow downloading iOS apps from third-party platforms.
