Announcing the 13th Gen Raptor Lake architecture last October, Intel has started working to respond to the AMD Ryzen 7000X3D series. In this context, the chip giant is preparing to announce 14th Generation Raptor Lake Refresh processors. Today, important information about the release date of the new generation processor family has emerged.

Intel Raptor Lake Refresh processors release date leaked

A new report shared by Videocardz points to the highly anticipated Intel Innovation 2023 event for Intel Raptor Lake Refresh processors on September 29. It should be noted that this event does not generally focus on new products. But last year’s Innovation 2022 event covered the entire portfolio of Intel products, from Xeon, Arc GPUs to client Core series. So much so that Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger introduced the new 13th Gen Core K series.

Therefore, we can say that the leaks have a share of truth. A recent roadmap from Niketim Intel showed us that Intel Raptor Lake Refresh processors will be available in the third quarter of 2023.

For those who don’t know, Intel Raptor Lake Refresh, exactly as the name suggests, will bring minor optimizations to the current 13th Gen Raptor Lake processors. Reportedly, these new CPUs will continue to use the Intel 7 processing node and will be compatible with existing LGA 1700/1800 motherboards. In this context, we can say that it will be an intermediate solution before the Meteor Lake/Arrow Lake architecture.

Also, a new BIOS update shared by Gigabyte brought support for “next generation Intel processors” to existing 600 and 700 series motherboards. Gigabyte has not disclosed which CPUs this is. However, it most likely points to Raptor Lake Refresh.
