As part of the CES 2023 event, AMD continues to make exciting announcements. So much so that the red team, which recently introduced the XDNA artificial intelligence engine, now shared the release date of HYPR-RX, the competitor of Nvidia Reflex technology. So what does the technology that will be included in Radeon graphics card drivers offer? Here are the details

It will offer up to 85% performance increase

In the announcement made as part of Computex 2023, AMD said that the HYPR-RX will be available in the first half of 2023. This news indicates that the new technology will be available later this month. Earlier, AMD stated that the HYPR-RX, tested on a Ryzen 9 7900X/DDR5-5200 based system, will deliver boosts from 90 FPS to 166 FPS. Delay times are reduced by up to 3 times.

For those who don’t know, AMD HYPR-RX will be a one-click performance boosting technology that combines Radeon Super Resolution (RSR), Radeon Boost and Radeon Anti-Lag features. While these features are already available in Radeon drivers, according to AMD, the HYPR-RX will be positioned among the preset profiles, and users will be able to choose which profile suits them best for games.

It should also be noted that the driver-based Radeon Super Resolution (RSR) algorithm is based on the older FSR 1.0 technology. So it doesn’t need any game integration. However, this may lead to negative scenarios in matters such as the user interface rather than the game. So we’ll have to wait a little longer to see that.
