As you know, new applications made available on the Google Play Store are undergoing a major audit. However, some applications may change purpose immediately after entering the store. Now there is another example of this. Security research company Dr.Web announced that a new malware has been detected that threatens Android users.More than 100 Android apps contain danger
Dubbed “SpinOk” by Dr.Web, the spyware has been detected in more than 100 Android apps with over 400 million downloads to date. This module, which is offered as a software development kit (SDK) for advertisers, allows both the display of hidden ads and the sending of private data on the device to a remote server after it is installed on the device.
Noting that the SpinOk module also uses the device’s sensor data (including gyroscope and magnetometer) to determine whether the SpinOk module works on a real phone, Dr.Web stated that the software is especially added to mini-games that offer “daily rewards”. Although most of the affected apps have been removed from the Play Store at this point, not all have been removed. Here are the most downloaded apps with SpinOk spyware:

- Zapya – File Transfer, Sharing – 100 million downloads
- vFly: video editor and video maker – 50 million downloads
- MVBit – MV video status maker – 50 million downloads
- Biugo – video maker and video editor – 50 million downloads
- Crazy Drop – 10 million downloads
- Cashzine – Earn prize money – 10 million downloads
- Fizzo Novel – Reading Offline – 10 million downloads
- CashEM: Get Rewards – 5 million downloads
- Tick: 5 million downloads
