As you may recall, Samsung announced the Wear OS 4-based One UI 5 Watch update in early May. The company said it would release the software to beta testers later in the month, but that won’t happen.

All indications were that Samsung would not be able to release the first beta of One UI 5 Watch until May. This was officially confirmed by the people working in the software development team of the South Korean manufacturer.

In the statement made on the Samsung Community forums, it was stated that the One UI 5 Watch beta program for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 smartwatches has been delayed. Therefore, users with these devices will need to be a little more patient.

One UI Watch 5 includes many innovations

Let us remind you again that One UI 5 Watch is based on Wear OS 4. The new version includes improvements in sleep tracking, a personalized heart rate zone, and more exercise-focused features.

In addition, the update will enable fall detection by default for all users over 55. The new software also features an updated SOS system and is expected to offer a better visual experience with increased Material You design elements.
