As every year, the Computex 2023 event continues to appear with new generation technologies and announcements this year as well. At this point, MSI, one of the important names of the event, exhibited its huge 4-slot cooling solutions for the upcoming high-end graphics cards. Let’s take a look at the concept designs introduced by MSI.MSI unveils new GPU cooling solutions
As you can see above, the first design combines copper and aluminum fins to increase heat dissipation in the cooling area. This solution, which takes advantage of the different thermal conductivity of copper and aluminum, is not currently targeting a specific GPU, according to MSI. However, the exemplary design of the RTX 4090 SUPRIM X shows us that this type of cooler can be used for the RTX 4090 Ti later on.
As for another concept design DynaVC technology, we can say that this design is basically a steam room solution with collapsible heat pipes. However, the most important feature will be that the steam room heat pipes eliminate the soldering problem. Thus, MSI aims to increase thermal conductivity and heat transfer during operation.The third and final concept design shown at Computex is the FusionChill cooler. As you can see below, this design is surprisingly reminiscent of the Acer PREDATOR RTX 4090, with a GPU integrated AIO (All-in-One) liquid cooler. However, MSI’s concept is a bit rougher due to the pipes used in the design.
MSI, on the other hand, states that the new cooling design has a 10 percent larger radiator than the standard 240mm design, allowing for higher water volume. Frankly, the only real problem is the thickness of this cooler.
