Popular messaging app WhatsApp continues to test new features in its Beta version. A recent report by WABetaInfo revealed that the company is testing a highly functional new feature.

You will be able to screen share during a video call on WhatsApp

WhatsApp continues to work on improving voice and video calls in its Android app. WhatsApp for Android, which brought changes to the color of missed calls in the beta 2.23.10.4 update, is now testing a new feature that allows users to easily share their screen during a video call.

As you can see in the screenshot above, when you tap the new icon in the call control section, you will be asked to share your screen. When you decide to share your screen, everything displayed on your screen will be recorded and shared with the recipient. You also have full control over this feature. In other words, although your screen content is constantly transmitted during a video call, you can stop the process at any time.

With the introduction of this feature, which is still in the testing phase, you may not be able to screen share with users with older versions of Android. For example, screen sharing may not work in large group calls with any users using the old version.
