Trabzonspor has reported a data breach to the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) due to the seizure of some information as a result of the cyber attack on its servers. According to the announcement published on the board’s website, a cyber attack was carried out on Trabzonspor’s servers on 19 May.Trabzonspor Commercial Products and Tourism Management Trade Inc., Trabzonspor Futbol İşletmeciliği Ticaret A.Ş, Trabzonspor Telekomünikasyon Danışmanlık ve Servis Hizmetleri Ticaret A.Ş., Bordeaux Blue Football Investments Trading Inc., Trabzonspor Club Association and Trabzonspor Bordeaux Blue Energy Electricity Generation. Inc. While the files kept on the encrypted servers could not be accessed, the number of people and records affected by the breach could not be determined.
As a result of the cyber attack, information of Trabzonspor employees, users, students, customers and potential customers was captured. According to the statement made by the club, data in the categories of identity, communication, personnel, customer transaction, finance, professional experience, marketing, audio and audio recording were leaked.
