Samsung’s new Smart Monitor series will hit the global market

Samsung introduced its new smart monitors (M50C, M70C and M80C) in South Korea last month. According to the company’s statement, the 2023 Smart Monitor series will soon be available worldwide.

Samsung Smart Monitor M50C features

Available in 27-inch and 32-inch options, the M50C is the most affordable model. It offers FHD resolution, 250 nits peak brightness, HDR10, 60Hz refresh rate, 4ms response time, 3000:1 contrast. Smart Monitor M50C comes with 2 x HDMI 1.4 ports, 2 x USB-A 3.1 Gen 1 ports, 5W + 5W stereo speakers, remote control that charges via USB-C. 100×100 VESA support is available. SmartThings compatible smart home products can be controlled using a USB dongle.

Samsung Smart Monitor M70C features

The 32 inch 4K Smart Monitor M70C comes with 300 nits peak brightness, HDR10, 60Hz refresh rate, 4ms response time, 3000:1 contrast ratio and multi-view support. Like the other model, it has 5W + 5W stereo speakers and 100×100 VESA support. The monitor has 1 HDMI 2.0 port, 1 USB-C port, 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports. Compatible with Samsung’s Slim Fit webcam.

Samsung Smart Monitor M80C features

The top model in the 2023 Smart Monitor series, the M80C is a 32-inch 4K monitor with 400 nits maximum brightness, HDR10+, 60Hz refresh rate, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 4ms response time. SmartThings, ZigBee, Thread (Matter) support is built in. In this model, sound comes from two 5w speakers. The monitor, which comes with a remote control that charges from USB-C, comes out of the box with Slim Fit Cam.

Samsung’s new smart monitors run on the Tizen operating system. Therefore, all popular digital platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney Plus come loaded. Monitors, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, AirPlay 2, Miracast, Samsung DeX, Multi View, Samsung Gaming Hub, Microsoft 365, Google Meet and Workspace are available. It can be voice controlled via Bixby and Alexa.

Samsung Smart Monitor 2023 series prices

Samsung Smart Monitor M8 (M80C) price with white, pink and blue color options; It starts at $650. This is current pricing for the 27-inch model. The price of the 32-inch model; 700 dollars.

Price for the 27-inch M7 (M70C) in warm white; $500, the 32-inch model costs $600.

Smart Monitor M5 (M50C) price with black and white color options; It’s $280 for the 27-inch model and $300 for the 32-inch model.

The new M-series smart monitors will go on sale this June.
