Astroworld Music Festival was held in Houston, USA recently. The opening night, attended by thousands of people, turned into a disaster. Due to the stampede, approximately 300 people were injured and 8 people died.
With the death of 22-year-old Bharti Shahani, who was seriously injured in the stampede and was taken to hospital, the loss of life rose to 9. The lawyer of Bharti Shahani’s family announced that Shahani passed away late yesterday due to “terrible wounds” received during the stampede.
Compensation Lawsuit Filed Against Scott and Drake
Among the injured, 23-year-old Kristian Paredes, along with Travis Scott and Drake, filed a lawsuit against the organization companies and demanded 1 million dollars in damages.
Predes accused Scott and Drake of inciting the crowd, arguing that the organizing company Live Nation was not providing adequate security and medical services.
