The company has applied for patents for many terms.
A trademark application was filed for “xrProOS” by an Apple front company this morning. Later, Immersive Health Solutions LLC, which is also presumed to be an Apple front company, applied for the “realityproOS” trademark in New Zealand. The same company has also applied for similar terms in other countries, such as “realOS”, “Reality One”, “Reality Pro” and “Reality Processor”.
On the other hand, there are several reasons why Apple has filed trademarks for several different terms. It aims to have multiple options for the title and OS. Also, the company protects the terms from being used by others. Important sources state that the operating system in the title may be realityproOS.
The Apple Reality Pro headset, which will be performing at the upcoming WWDC 2023 event, will go into mass production towards the end of this year.
