Samsung, which has signed projects that shape technology markets, may be working on an interesting idea. The Samsung DeXbook, which appeared in 2020 and was thought to be shelved later, may soon be implemented in a different way.

Samsung DeXbook will have Exynos processor

According to a report by OreXda, Samsung is working on a device that will combine ChromeOS and DeX platforms. This device is probably a different version of the Samsung DeXbook, which leaked in 2020. DeXbook was being developed as a 14.1-inch portable monitor that could be used as a DeX station for Galaxy smartphone and tablet owners, but the company has apparently given up on that idea.

According to OreXda’s source, the new DeXbook will be powered by an Exynos chipset developed in the 5 or 7nm process, but it is not clear which Exynos model this chip will be. It is also a matter of curiosity how the company will bring together the ChromeOS and DeX platforms. Perhaps Google will allow Samsung to install a OneUI-based operating system on top of ChromeOS. This interesting project of Samsung is expected to be introduced with a new Galaxy Book for Windows on Arm device.
