Google states in its statement that unused passive accounts are 10 times more likely than accounts with two-step login, which provides an opportunity for cyber attackers who want to infiltrate accounts.
To avoid this crowd, Google made a policy change. From now on, Google accounts that have been inactive for 2 years will be able to be deleted, including YouTube, Photos, Gmail, and all content in them.
The policy will take effect from this week, but the deletion of Google accounts will begin in December.
