Ethereum trading started in the US after MetaMask announced its PayPal integration.
Users in the United States can transfer Ethereum from PayPal to MetaMask as well as trades. The two companies first announced their collaboration in 2022.
MetaMask Starts Ethereum Sells with PayPal
Crypto wallet and decentralized application (DApp) provider MetaMask has started offering Ethereum purchases via PayPal for users in the United States, one of MetaMask’s largest markets. The company claims to be the first Web3 wallet to offer Ethereum.
Thanks to the collaboration, American users will now be able to choose PayPal as their payment method when purchasing Ethereum using MetaMask. The integration will also make it possible to transfer ETH from PayPal to MetaMask.

Supporting more than 90 cryptocurrencies across eight networks, including Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, BNB Smart Chain, Avalanche, Fantom, Optimis and Celo, the service will cover more than 189 countries. MetaMask announced this feature in the past weeks. The feature will take into account the user’s location and local regulations to provide a customized quote for each purchase.
