There has been a critical development regarding YouTube, the world’s most popular online video platform. It turned out that YouTube has sent notifications to some users and will ban ad-blocking applications in the near future. So ad blocking services will not work on YouTube.

The issue in question surfaced on Reddit and was confirmed by moderators working for Google. It seems that YouTube will gradually force all users to become Premium subscribers. As it is known, users who wanted to use YouTube for free were watching advertisements rather than the video itself, especially in short videos. Services that prevent this will soon be disabled for YouTube.

Here is the notification YouTube sent to some users:

“Ad blockers are not allowed on YouTube

  • You may be using an ad blocker.
  • Ads keep YouTube free for billions of users.
  • With YouTube Premium, you can have an ad-free experience. Creators, on the other hand, can get paid extra on your subscription.”

As you can see in the translation of the notice; With this notification, YouTube explained the advantages of Premium and invited users to become YouTube Premium subscribers. In fact, it was more of a compulsion than an invitation. Because disabling ad-blocking applications means that there is no way to get rid of ads on YouTube.
