WhatsApp’s message editing feature has finally appeared: How to use WhatsApp message editing?

Popular messaging app WhatsApp has released a new update that allows Web beta users to edit messages after they’ve been sent.

This new feature allows users to edit a message within 15 minutes of sending it. This time limit is set to allow for minor errors to be corrected while ensuring that messages are not modified long after they are sent. The feature can be used in both individual and group chats.

Currently, the ability to edit messages is limited to the beta version of the WhatsApp Web app, but according to the latest reports, it is expected to be rolled out to Android and iOS users soon. If you have the WhatsApp Web beta application, you can follow the steps below to try the new feature.

How to use WhatsApp Web message editing?

Open an individual or group chat on WhatsApp and send a message.

After the message is sent, click the down arrow in the upper right corner of the message and select “Edit Message”. This will open a new window that allows you to make changes to the message.

When you have completed the changes you want, click the checkmark in the lower right corner of the dialog to save the changes.

The message should have been updated and should now display an “Edited” label to indicate that the message has been modified.

There is currently no message history, so it is not possible to see the original message again after the message has been edited. You can edit the message multiple times as long as it is within the 15-minute window. The feature is available for beta users of v2.2319.9 and above.
