David Schwartz spoke harshly about Jed McCaleb
On the agenda of the Ripple CTO was co-founder Jed McCaleb, who is known for selling the XRPs he received as compensation after leaving the company. McCaleb founded Stellar (XLM) after leaving Ripple, making two altcoins with the same characteristics rivals. In the meantime, let’s point out that McCaleb has no more XRP to sell.
In the hot development, David Schwartz delivered a harsh message to McCaleb. Schwartz hints that Stellar founder McCaleb has been circulating within the crypto community like a living grenade. He cautioned, however, to be wary of McCaleb.

Quoting a video clip of a police officer accidentally firing a live grenade from a car, Schwartz said, “If Jed McCaleb has a bomb, AVOID. The crazy idiot definitely doesn’t realize he’s holding a live grenade,” he tweeted.
Tweet fuels rivalry between Ripple and Stellar
Schwartz’s statements increased the rivalry between Ripple and Stellar and sparked mixed reactions in the crypto community. Some think Schwartz’s tweet is just a joke. Others argue that because of McCaleb’s place and influence in the crypto world during his transition from XRP to Stellar, Schwartz’s words should be taken seriously.

Ripple and Stellar rivalry
It is unclear when the two crypto communities started attacking each other. However, in a tweet back in August last year, a crypto phenomenon asked the Ripple CTO what his biggest criticism was towards XLM Ledger. Despite not responding, McCaleb wrote instead: “XLM is a threat to XRP.”
McCaleb’s response makes it clear that both altcoins are at odds, as one considers them to be a threat to the other.
