Microsoft has been working on adding ads to various parts of Windows 11 lately. The software giant had already begun testing the new operating system’s ad display in the Start Menu and File Explorer. However, that doesn’t seem to be enough.

The company has finally added ads to the Settings menu. Judging by the screenshots that have surfaced online, most of the promotions will appear on the home screen of the Settings app. It seems that Microsoft has integrated Microsoft 365 ads into the said space.

There are similar studies in the Accounts section.

A similar preparation is being made for the Accounts section of the Settings app. In this section, we see that there is a suggestion to log in to a Microsoft account and product support notifications for software products. In the shared image, it is reminded that Office 2013 support has ended.

It is clear that Microsoft aims to increase its revenue by promoting its subscription-based service with such initiatives. Most of these changes have only appeared in Insider builds so far. It’s unclear when it will be ported to the stable version and whether users will be given the option to turn it off.
