It has been revealed that Samsung plans to release the new camera update for the S23 series soon. The 2x portrait mode feature that users want will be available again. However, an important bug will also be fixed.

2x portrait mode is coming, HDR issue is fixed

The upcoming software update will fix issues with the HDR performance of the Galaxy S23 Ultra as well as portrait mode. The issue of seeing halo around objects in low light or indoor conditions when using the HDR feature has been reported by many users. Samsung has also officially acknowledged this problem and promised that it will be fixed in the next update. The May 23 security patch update did not include the HDR fix.

Samsung often releases updates to fix S23 camera issues. The update released in April brought optimizations for autofocus operation, Super Steady On mode, Camera Assistant.
