If a person repeatedly falls asleep on the couch before going to bed, the brain thinks it’s time to sleep, being in a still and comfortable place. Also, if you get used to sleeping somewhere other than the bed on consecutive days, your brain will adopt that area as the main sleeping place.

Television and electronics disrupt these rhythms by emitting the same blue light as the Sun, and actually suppress the production of melatonin, a chemical that helps our bodies sleep.
In other words, watching TV for hours on the sofa or making phone calls at night activates our brain when we need to rest, and our biological clock is turned upside down.

In summary, in order to sleep comfortably when we go to bed, it is necessary to adopt the bed as an area where only the act of sleeping will take place.

Experts have a few recommendations for us to fall asleep as soon as we go to bed.

Regardless of what happens after dinner, only relaxing activities should be done and cell phones or similar computer and television screens should be avoided.

Reading any book before bed is the perfect way to calm the mind before sleep. Those who do not enjoy reading books can also listen to an audiobook or podcast.

In addition, experts recommend that we try to fall asleep for a maximum of 15 minutes. If we don’t fall asleep within 15 minutes, he recommends getting out of bed for a while and doing activities that give us pleasure, and then going back to bed.
