Google, which is at the head of the Android ecosystem, is expected to announce the highly anticipated Pixel 7 series at the Google I/O 2023 event to be held next week. Now weeks before launch, the family’s budget model, the Pixel 7a, has started appearing on Geekbench. So what does the new budget phone offer? Let’s see together.

Google Pixel 7a performance revealed

For those who don’t know, Pixel 7a will be Google’s last “A” series model. At this point, the performance of the phone, which is expected to be introduced on May 11 and listed on Geekbench with the code name “lynx”, began to become clear.

Looking at the screenshots, we see that the Pixel 7a is equipped with an 8-core Google Tensor G2 chipset along with 8GB of RAM. However, the budget phone gets 1380 points from Geekbench’s single-core test and 3071 points from the multi-core test. With a small comparison, we can say that these scores are close to Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

Pixel 7a is expected to have a 6.1-inch OLED display on the front that offers FHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. In the camera section, there will be 64MP primary, 13MP ultra-wide and 13MP selfie sensors. Under the hood, the budget phone will showcase 18W fast charging support and IP67 (water and dust resistance) certification.
