ASELSAN had recently shared the image of the TULGAR Helmet Integrated Imaging System on its social media accounts. A while ago, the details of TULGAR were announced. ASELSAN TULGAR will be the eyes of the pilots of the National Combat Aircraft, whose name is announced as KAAN.

Pilots will see with TULGAR

The TULGAR System is expressed as a visor reflective helmet-mounted display system designed within ASELSAN for fixed-wing platforms. The system is equipped with digital night vision, color screen and sensitive head tracking technologies in order to increase the capabilities and capabilities of the pilot and the aircraft and the awareness of the mission area.

In its statement, ASELSAN states that the TULGAR Helmet Integrated Imaging System has a wide field of view thanks to its advanced optical design, and it will also support the pilots during the mission by projecting high-resolution images on the viewfinder. While the system has active and passive noise cancellation, it can be used during day and night missions without the need for a change in the head unit with its integrated digital night vision capability.

TULGAR will work in full integration with the aircraft’s internal systems. The current sensor data of the aircraft will be displayed in color directly from the display of the helmet. In fact, TULGAR is as critical as the engine or software of the aircraft. Because it is not possible to get this system from outside.
