Google has allowed Stadia players to join multiplayer productions without the need for an invite. This feature is currently available on most console platforms and PC launchers. It took about two years for the company to add it to the service. A support page has confirmed that the feature is rolling out for Far Cry 6. Thus, your friends can now join you without having to enter the menus and send an invitation.
The company announced that the current feature is only available in certain games. The option is disabled by default in the service. Still, 9to5Google observed that it comes in active. Uninvited opt-in is currently available in the Stadia app for Android. In addition, it can be accessed through the web version running on iOS.
Google Stadia is gradually progressing
Google added a 30-minute game trial for Hello Engineer last month. At this point, the company has been gradually bringing new options to Stadia since its launch. Last month, AT&T released a browser version of Batman: Arkham Knight using Stadia’s technology.
Feature in use for Far Cry 6
Google made statements about the feature coming to Stadia. The company said:
“Multiplayer titles like Far Cry 6 allow other players to join your game directly on your profile without an invitation from you. This feature, which is only available in certain games, is turned off by default. ”
You need to follow some ways to enable the feature. These are as follows:
- Enter your activity section.
- Go to privacy settings under current game name.
- Activate the Join your current game option.
- Select all players or friends.
Google Stadia did not have many of the features it promised when it was released. However, these were included in the platform over time. Currently it still has many basic shortcomings compared to other similar platforms. We can clearly see from the innovations that the platform has slowly covered these shortcomings.
