Arbitrum (ARB) has started to distribute tokens to eligible DAOs in its ecosystem.
Arbitrum, known as Ethereum’s layer-2 network, has been growing in popularity since its launch. Attracting attention with its airdrop and the ecosystem it has created, Arbitrum is on the agenda with the developments on the DAO side. It has started to distribute tokens to DAOs that meet the conditions in the Arbitrum ecosystem, which is often discussed about DAO voting.
Arbitrum Opens the Door to DAOs
In its token offering presentation, Arbitrum (ARB) announced that it would allocate 1.13 percent of its total supply to qualified DAOs in its ecosystem.
In the statement made by Arbitrum, it was stated that the planned allocation has started and tokens will be sent to eligible DAOs. The Arbitrum Foundation stated that this token distribution transaction is not made from the DAO treasury or the company wallet.
The team had previously set aside assets equivalent to a total of 113 million ARB tokens for DAOs. The allocation for DAOs will differ from previous airdrops. In addition, the team also stated that DAOs that confirm that they have received transactions via Twitter will be prioritized. According to on-chain data, Arbitrum has made its first deployment to nearly 125 DAOs.
