How will Pixel Fold fold?
Reliable source Kuba Wojciechowski, who shared the video on Twitter, shows how to open and close the Pixel Fold. The transition between the internal and external screens of the device can be seen in the video. It is also noticed that the device has a rounded corner design and has a camera module on the back.
Another striking point in the video is that the Pixel Fold can be folded completely flat. The device, which can be closed without leaving a gap, such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, can be more durable and compact in this way. However, it is also seen that the device has very thick bezels when open.
The Google Pixel Fold is thought to feature Tensor G2, up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The device, which is said to have an OLED FHD 5.8-inch external screen and an OLED 7.6-inch internal screen, with a 120Hz refresh rate on both the external and internal screens, will have a 2092×1080 external screen and a 2208×1840 internal screen. The inner screen has an ultra-thin glass protected by plastic.
It has not yet been officially announced when the Pixel Fold will be introduced and available for sale. However, some sources claim that the device could be announced at the Google I/O 2023 event in May. The price of the device is said to start at $ 1,799.
