Tech giant Samsung will likely launch two new smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, along with the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 in the second half of 2023. The upcoming smartwatches are expected to bring advanced health tracking and features. A new report has revealed details about the processor of the clocks.

Galaxy Watch 6 series will have enhanced performance with Exynos W980 processor

The Exynos W980 processor to be used in the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series will be 10% faster than the Exynos W920 chipset used in the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 series. Although the CPU and GPU configuration of this processor, which is expected to be produced using 5nm, is not yet known, it is quite possible that the battery life of the clocks will increase.

Galaxy Watch 6 Classic from the Galaxy Watch 6 series, which will have a higher resolution display, will bring back the iconic rotating bezel made famous in Samsung’s smart watches. Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic, which will have a thinner bezel, will have a higher battery capacity compared to the previous generation.
