Instagram has announced that it will allow users to add up to five links to their bio descriptions.
The social media platform has long imposed restrictions on users from adding external links to their accounts. The lack of flexibility has led to the emergence of alternatives like Linktree, which allows users to add a link landing page to their bio and put unlimited links as part of their free plan.
To access the feature, simply go to Edit profile > Links > Add External Link. Here you can add the links and titles you want. You can also rearrange added links by dragging them along the row, but users who visit your profile will only see the first link.
When announcing the feature, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote on his Instagram feed channel that the ability to add more links to his Instagram bio is “probably one of the features we’re most requested for.” This new option joins the recently announced Instagram features for Reels, which includes a revamped video editor, broadcast channels, collections, and silent mode.
