We keep hearing new leaks about the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. It has been said for a while that the next-generation iPhone family will come with solid-state buttons instead of physical keys and a customizable action key like the Apple Watch Ultra. However, this innovation can completely change a layout that users are used to.It will take on the role of volume buttons
As you know, new generation iPhones can be turned off or forced to restart by pressing and holding any of the side and volume buttons. The newly shared reports show that all these functions will be moved to the new ‘Action’ button. At this point the double key combination will remain the same but the new Action key will take over the role of the volume buttons.
It is also stated that this feature will perform the following functions depending on how hard you press. However, it has not yet been announced whether these functions will be customizable.
- Flick – Camera focus
- Press hard – Take a photo
- Hard press and hold – Record video
As you know, it was claimed that Apple would abandon solid-state buttons due to technical problems. However, new leaks indicate that this upgrade has not been shelved yet. Regardless of Apple’s plans, we can say that a customizable Action key will improve the using experience.
