Samsung blamed keyboard for battery problem
Samsung, which started to offer the One UI 5.1 update to other models after the S23 series, has been receiving negative feedback from its users for a while about battery performance. After research on the subject, a very interesting statement came from Samsung.
An official from the company explained on the brand’s Thailand website that the excess battery consumption on Galaxy phones with One UI 5.1 is caused by the Samsung Keyboard. Accordingly, stickers and emojis added to the keyboard application cause extra battery consumption.
To fix this situation, Samsung released the v5.6.10.31 version of the keyboard on March 2, 2023. This update is automatically installed on phones with One UI 5.1. But to check for updates, you can go to the Updates section of the Galaxy Store and manually install the latest Samsung Keyboard version.
