Zambian Technology Minister Felix Mutati stated that crypto regulatory tests will be completed by June.
Zambia reported that tests that simulate real-world crypto usage and regulate crypto laws will be finished by June. In an interview on April 12, Felix Mutati stated that the purpose of performing crypto regulatory tests is to “see what effects they will have in the real world.” Noting “crypto regulation formations” as another target, Mutati pointed out to the month of June 2023 and stated that these activities will be completed.

Aiming how crypto regulation tests will affect the real world rather than the virtual world, Mutati expressed his views on the subject;
Before the launch of cryptocurrencies, digital identities and other digital infrastructures need to be implemented. Even though Zambia’s debt restructuring process was “long deferred,” the bulk of its debt owed to creditors from China, Mutati will not deter investment in Zambia.
Giving a speech by prioritizing crypto regulations, the Minister of Technology also stated that different steps will be taken on crypto regulations. Zambia’s crypto community has started to show more interest in this issue as a result of Mutati’s remarkable rhetoric.
