Intel Raptor Lake Refresh and Raptor Lake are starting to clear
Reportedly, Intel’s upcoming 14th Gen Core processor family has been listed as “MTL/Meteor Lake” in a new report on OpenVPL (Video Processing Library) hardware support. As it is known, Intel is working on Raptor Lake Refresh for desktop computers. We can say that the new table confirms that the 14th Generation processors will be based on the Meteor Lake architecture.
More importantly, the current 700 series platform will remain as it is, meaning Intel will now have two generations and a refresh for the current LGA1700 platform. Considering the roadmap, Intel Raptor Lake Refresh is expected to be introduced in the third quarter of this year. Meteor Lake processors will appear in the next stage.
