US-based technology giant Apple seems to have focused on wearables lately. There will be those of you who remember, we recently mentioned that Apple has received a patent that will allow it to track all body positions via smart watches. Today, Apple has again received a new patent for its smart watches.
According to the patent published in the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) database, the straps of Apple Watches, which have been dysfunctional until now, will now become “smart”. Because the patent in question will allow tracking of hand movements with sensors added to the straps. So what will this do?
Sports activities will be tracked more precisely
If Apple manages to make this patent a real technology one day, the exercise measurement accuracy of Apple Watches will increase. In addition, Apple Watch owners can use all lines of their smart watches with just hand gestures. Playing games and using other Apple products can also be achieved with this feature.
However, the patent also has a negative side. The more sensors, the higher the energy consumption. As a natural consequence of this, Apple Watches will turn into more energy-consuming products. For now, it remains unclear how Apple will find a solution to this issue. Maybe in a few years the battery problems will be completely resolved and such technologies will become standard for our lives.
