A confusing as well as interesting event has emerged regarding the US-based technology giant Apple. A man using a Mac trying to fix a problem with his printer found that Apple has been adding the Bitcoin whitepaper* to his macOS system for years. Users running macOS Mojave and all later versions of macOS, released in 2018, can access the Bitcoin whitepaper from their own computers.
The man, who was tampering with Image Capture, one of the software Apple offers to Mac users, saw that a device called “Virtual Scanner II” was pre-installed on his computer, which he did not add himself. Starting to examine this device, the man found that it contained a sample pdf file. This sample file was Bitcoin’s whitepaper.
