Counter-Strike 2, which gamers have been waiting for a long time, was finally announced in the past weeks. It was stated that the game, which will come with many improvements, will be offered as a free update to CS: GO. On the other hand, the announcement of the game, whose limited testing period has already begun, broke the records of player and case opening in CS: GO.

While the great wait for Counter-Strike 2 continues, now there is news that will make the players happy. It has been announced that we will see Reflex support, NVIDIA’s latency reduction technology, which can give an advantage to players with Geforce GPUs in the game.

Anyone with a GeForce GTX 900 series and above will be able to benefit from Reflex

While NVIDIA stated in their statements that the latest graphics cards will not be needed to take advantage of the technology, he added that the impact on older GPUs will be great. According to the company, anyone with a GeForce GTX 900 series or higher will be able to use Reflex. It is also said that Reflex can reduce system latency by up to 35%.

The tech giant also shared an image to show the improvements in latency. Equipped with an Intel Core i9-12900K, running at 1440p and having a GTX 1060, we see that the latency has dropped from 26 ms to 17 ms. When the video card is replaced with the RTX 3060, it can be seen that it decreases from 16 ms to 11 ms.

Apart from these, the image also includes NVIDIA’s yet unannounced RTX 4070 GPU. In this video card, we can see that the delay has decreased from 10 ms to 8 ms. All these ratios reveal that latency can be significantly reduced, especially on older video cards. Let’s add that Reflex aims to reduce the time between clicking the mouse and seeing your action on the screen and to provide a faster response. This is hugely important in competitive shooter games like CS.

Counter-Strike 2, which looks like the future with features that excite those who are waiting more and more every day, will debut in the summer.
