READING NOW End of the road for Galaxy S10 and Galaxy A50: They will no longer receive updates

4 years after the launch of the Galaxy A50 and Galaxy S10 series, Samsung has decided to discontinue software update support for these series. This sad news was first noticed by GalaxyClub earlier today when Samsung released details surrounding the April 2023 security patch.

Samsung has stopped issuing software updates for the Galaxy A50, Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+

Galaxy A50, Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ are no longer listed on Samsung’s webpage for Galaxy devices’ software update schedule. For some reason, the Galaxy S10 5G released in February 2019 along with the rest of the Galaxy S10 series devices is still listed and will continue to receive software updates.

Galaxy A50 launched with Android 9 and received 2 major Android OS updates: Android 10 and Android 11. Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ launched with Android 9 and devices received 3 major Android OS updates: Android 10, Android 11 and Android 12. But these seem to be the last now.

Galaxy S10 Lite will continue to receive software updates for 1 more year

Samsung released the Galaxy S10 Lite with Android 10 in early 2020 and it got Android 11, Android 12 and Android 13. It recently received the One UI 5.1 update with additional new features. It will continue to receive security updates for at least 1 more year.
