While the whole world is leaving fossil fuels aside, automobile manufacturers are launching their electric models one by one. Volkswagen, one of the most serious manufacturers of electric cars, is preparing to say goodbye to its models with internal combustion engines.

Volkswagen T-Roc will be the brand’s last model with a conventional engine

Expanding its electric model range every year, Volkswagen has announced its last model, which will have a traditional internal combustion engine. According to the statement made by Volkswagen CEO, the new T-Roc model, which will be introduced in 2025, will be the last model of the brand with an internal combustion engine.

Although the T-Roc, which will be introduced in 2025, will be the last internal combustion engine vehicle, Volkswagen plans to introduce a few more models with conventional engines by that year. The new Passat and new Tiguan models, which will be produced only with station wagon bodywork for the European market, will hit the roads in 2024.

Volkswagn CEO also stated that with a comprehensive makeover operation in 2024, the Golf model will be on the road for a while. The new ID.Golf, which will be introduced in 2028, will have an all-electric power unit.

After the introduction of T-Roc in 2025, the German brand will now turn to electric models. Volkswagen is currently developing the SSP platform for its new electrified models. The first member of this platform may be the electric Golf. The company also aims to carry the GTI logo to electric models.
