Cyberpunk 2077 will not receive all updates, improvements and free DLCs on the expected date, with a change to the game’s roadmap. In fact, all these, which were expected to come towards the end of 2021, have now been postponed to 2022.
The updated roadmap published recently on the Cyberpunk 2077 website shows that the release schedule for 2021 now comes to an end with patch 1.31 released in September of this year. The game’s free next-gen update and all other “updates, improvements, and free DLCs” are scheduled for this period and beyond.
No specific reason has been given for the delay yet, but the announcement comes just weeks after CD Projekt Red announced that next-gen upgrades for the game’s Xbox Series X and PS5 have been pushed to Q1 2022 along with the next-gen. The upgrade for The Witcher 3 has also been delayed to the second quarter of 2022. These delays were implemented as a result of “recommendations made by the teams overseeing both games” and a desire to “justify”; At least that’s what the company says.
