Nokia design team introduced the new user interface design language called “Pure UI”. The company plans to use the new interface, which it announced, in other consumer electronics devices that it plans to launch, as well as Nokia smartphones.
Pure UI features new colors, typography, animations, illustrations and other visual design elements. Even at first glance, you can notice that the simple and minimalist interface is flexible enough to be integrated into different solutions.
For example, buttons drawn by Nokia designers can easily be used in a smart home application or even on a website as well as the smartphone interface. In addition to white, the design focuses on shades of blue and blue.
Migrating from pure Android to Pure UI
The most important component of the new design stands out as the Nokia Pure font, which is available in thin, standard and bold forms and is used in all interface elements. The designers also prepared many new icons that look quite soft and light.
Nokia’s new user interface supports dark mode. In the published images, we see that Pure UI can be used not only on smartphones, but also on smart watches, websites and smart home devices.
Let us remind you that Nokia has so far preferred to use the standard interface of the Android operating system. Although the company showed the new design language, it did not make any statement about when it will start using Pure UI on its devices.
