Nevzat Aydın, the founder of Yemeksepeti, announced that he is resigning from his position as CEO. Aydın announced that Mert Baki would take over the task.
In the message he shared on his social media account Twitter, Aydın said, “Yes, we have come to the end of an era. Jeff Bezos endured 25 years and I only saw 21. 🙂 It’s time to leave my CEO position at Yemeksepeti to a young and different perspective.” gave place.

We have established a very good management team in the past months and I have full confidence in both this team and dear Mert. Yemeksepeti is perfectly prepared for the post-pandemic period. “Yes, we have come to the end of an era. Jeff Bezos endured 25 years and I could barely see 21 years. 🙂 It’s time to leave my job as CEO at Yemeksepeti to a young and different perspective. Yemeksepeti is now huge with 9000 employees, and I can only see 21 years.” Despite unfair slander, it is a leading company by far and I want to devote more time to my family, myself and philanthropy. I have always wanted to show a fair, transparent and innovative management as much as I can. Forgive me if I have any faults.
No incentives, licenses, allocations, government support, acquaintances, loans, etc. was not included. Instead of these, our biggest trump card has always been ‘innovation’. As a company that has taken innovation right into our environment, we have done such pioneering things together over the years that we have done such pioneering things as DVD project, restaurant reviews, gamification and mukhtar wars, ‘Speech’ by orders and distribution of classics, Banabi and Mahalle etc. . . .
