Samsung continues its preparations to introduce smart watch models along with its new generation foldable phones in August. Some technical specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series have been leaked.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 features
The 40mm version of the Galaxy Watch 6 standard model and the 42mm version of the Watch 6 Classic model will be introduced with a 300mAh battery. The 44mm versions of the Galaxy Watch 6 standard model and the 46mm versions of the Watch 6 Classic model will be offered to users with a 425 mAh battery.
Samsung included a 284 mAh battery in the 40mm version of the Galaxy Watch 5, which it introduced last year. The Galaxy Watch 6 model, which will be introduced with a higher capacity of 16 mAh, will surpass its predecessor in terms of battery life.
Samsung will use sapphire crystal glass on the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro. It is among the leaked information that Gorilla Glass 6 will be used in standard models.
The Galaxy Watch 6 Pro will have a 1.4-inch Super AMOLED display and a titanium body. It is not yet known whether the iconic rotating bezels offered by previous Samsung smartwatches will return.
The cheapest model in the Galaxy Watch 6 series is thought to be the smallest 40mm model with GPS only, starting at $279. At the other end of the price spectrum, the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro version with both GPS and cellular connectivity will be $499.
